AgriChem’s patented on-line particulate, powder and meal moisture sensors combine proven capacitive technology with innovative physical designs. They provide a very accurate real time moisture assay that can easily be integrated into a process control system. These sensors are rugged, user friendly and economical.
FT Series On-line Flowing Particulate Moisture Sensors (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. No. 6,192,750 B1)
| The FT Series sensors are designed to monitor moisture content of freely flowing particulate or powder materials, continuously on-line. They must be mounted vertically to intercept the material flow and extract approximately 150 pounds per minute. This proportional sample flows through the sensing cell for continuous moisture and temperature assays. The balance of the particulate stream simply flows around the sensor. | |
FT-11 Sensor
- Continuously generates an 0 to 5 V DC analog signal proportional to moisture content (0.1V = ~ 1% moisture) and a 0 to 2 V DC analog signal proportional to temperature.
- Is an economical choice when a single material is being monitored that does not vary greatly in particle size or density.
FT-14 Sensor
- Is identical in physical appearance and operation to the FT-11
- Has very significant advances in design and function:
→ A selectable frequency
→ An adjustable gain and offset
→ Continuous 4 to 20 mA analog signals for both moisture and temperature
→ A self-contained power and programmability.
These features make the FT-14 Sensor custom tunable for each application, rather than the “one size fits all” approach of the FT-11 Sensor design.
FP Series Flush Mounted On-line Moisture Sensors (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. No. 6,249,130 B1)
These sensors with their innovative flat plate sensing surface are designed specifically for service in mechanically hostile environments. This allows flush mounting in a mixer, an auger, a chute, or in a sled riding on top of material being moved on a non-metallic belt conveyor. | |
FP-21C Sensor
- Continuously generates an 0 to 5 V DC analog signal proportional to moisture content (0.1V = ~1% moisture) and a 0 to 2 V DC analog signal proportional to temperature.
- Is an economical choice for use when a single material is being monitored that does not vary greatly in particle size or density.
FP-24C Sensor
- Is identical in physical appearance and operation to the FP-21C
- Has very significant advances in design and function:
→ A selectable frequency
→ An adjustable gain and offset
→ Continuous 4 to 20 mA analog signals for both moisture and temperature
→ A self-contained power and programmability.
These features make the FP-24C Sensor custom tunable for each application, rather than the “one size fits all” approach of the FP-21C Sensor design
